MOSS DANCE & PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY

WELCOME

Let your talents shine with triple threat instruction at Moss Dance and Performing Arts Academy!  In the entertainment industry, a "triple threat" is a performer who is trained and confident in dance, acting and voice.  At Moss, we emphasize the importance of being a well-rounded performer and offer professional instruction in all three disciplines.  Owners, Joe and Amy Moss, have trained students who have gone on to perform on Broadway, with the Radio City Rockettes, on cruise ships and with the Walt Disney World Company.  They have also helped students audition and get accepted into top musical theater universities.

TESTIMONIAL FROM PROFESSOR TRACEY MOORE, WESTERN KY UNIVERSITY, MUSICAL THEATRE DEPARTMENT: "Moss Performing Arts Academy does a great job at giving its students the foundational skills necessary to succeed in an arts career. They nurture and grow young talent in a warm and friendly environment, and provide the craft to support that talent.  Students graduate ready for college careers in the performing arts, and are ready for their next step in their growth as artists."
Tracey Moore appeared in the National Tours of RAGTIME, CAMELOT, and is the author of ACTING THE SONG: Performance Skills for Musical Theatre.  She is an actress and teacher, and currently heads the musical theatre BFA at Western KY University.

PARENT TESTIMONIAL FROM ANN O'HARA:

Hi Amy,

Many thanks to you and Jocelyn for orchestrating such an amazing experience for Ellie and the other Moss students this past weekend.

I am so grateful for your talent and professionalism in the production of "Honk" (and any other Moss production for that matter) but also for the spirit of camaraderie, values and ethics that you bring and expect your students to bring to the table. I was and am always so impressed with the level of talent and humility expressed by the kids. That comes from your leadership. Thank you!

From a logistics perspective, I thought the weekend ran very smoothly. It was obvious that you put a lot of effort into advance planning. I very much appreciated you taking the lead in ensuring that all of the details were planned out as much as possible so that the chaperones/parents didn't have to "sweat the small stuff." That was huge!!!

Finally, weren't you just bursting with pride for Jocelyn and Drew?  It has been a privilege watching them grow from outstanding student performers to fantastic teachers sharing their craft with the younger students.

Thanks for instilling so much confidence in Ellie. She can't wait for next year! Well, let me broaden that statement. Thanks for instilling so much confidence in all of the O'Hara children all of whom have been Moss performers over the years. They are all comfortable and confidant public speakers and performers.

Many thanks!

Ann
